At the National Bank Stadium Karachi, Pakistan defeated Hong Kong by 57 runs to maintain their unbeaten run. Batting first, Pakistan posted an impressive 192 for 4. Vice-captain Fawad Alam led the charge with a brisk 56 from 28 balls, supported by Tariq Mahmood’s 46 off 27. In response, Hong Kong managed 135 for 6 in their 20 overs. Mohammad Suleman claimed 3 for 35, while Zulfiqar Babar took 2 for 16. Fawad Alam was named Player of the Match. At Southend Club, the UAE overcame West Indies by five wickets, driven by a magnificent unbeaten 100 from Malik Qamar Abbas. کراچی کے علاقے گلستان جوہر میں واقع پویلین اینڈ کلب کے باہر کلب کے سینکڑوں ممبران اور بارہ سو سے زائد عملے کے اراکین نے احتجاجی مظاہرہ کیا ،مظاہرے میں سول سوسائٹی سمیت فنکار برادری بھی شریک تھی مظاہرہ سپریم کورٹ کے پویلین اینڈ کلب کو منہدم کرنے کے احکامات کے خلاف کیا گیا ،اس موقع پر انتظامیہ کی جانب سے مظاہرین کے پر امن مظاہرے پر لاٹھی چارج کیا گیا جس کے نتیجے میں کئی مظاہرین زخمی ہوگئے ،اپنا احتجاج ریکارڈ کرواتے ہوئے مظاہرے میں شریک اداکارہ ثروت گیلانی نے کہا کہ پاکستان میں کوئی ایسا کلب یا تفریح پارک موجود نہیں جو صرف یومیہ پچاس روپئے کے حساب سے اپنے ممبران کو بین الاقوامی سطع کی تفریح سرگرمیاں مہیا کر رہا ہے
پویلین اینڈ کلب مڈل کلاس اور لوئر مڈل کلاس سب کو یکساں طور پر سستی تفریح فراہم کر رہا ہے ،لیکن ہم سے ہمارا یہ حق چھینا جارہا ہے ، ہمیں ڈرایا جارہا ہے ، اُنہوں نے کہا کہ چیف جسٹس آف پاکستان سے سوال ہے کہ ہمیں اس سستی تفریح سے محروم کیوں کیا جارہا ہے ؟ واضع رہے کہ پویلین اینڈ کلب گزشتہ 25برس سے عوام کو سستی تفریح فراہم کر رہا ہے جہاں سے سالانہ 3ملین سے زائد افراد استفادہ کرتے ہیں ۔پویلین اینڈ کلب میں اس وقت بارہ سو سے زائد افراد کا روزگار وابستہ ہے ۔سپریم کورٹ کے احکامات کے بعد ان تمام افراد کا روزگار داو پر لگ گیا ہے ۔

Hundreds of Pavilion end Club employees' jobs at risk, club members protested outside the club along with staff members.
“The question to the Chief Justice of Pakistan is why we are being deprived of cheap entertainment? Let us be given our right” well-known actress Sarwat Gillani.
KARACHI: Hundreds of members of the club and more than twelve hundred staff members staged a protest outside the Pavilion end Club. The protest was against the Supreme Court's order to demolish the Pavilion end Club. The administration used batons to disperse the protester's several protesters were injured by the baton charge.
Recording her protest, actress Sarwat Gilani said that “there is no club or amusement park in Pakistan which is providing international level entertainment activities to its members for only Rs. 50 per day. The Pavilion end Club is providing affordable entertainment to the middle class and lower middle class alike, but we are being deprived of this right, we are being intimidated, she said that the question to the Chief Justice of Pakistan is why we are being deprived of this cheap entertainment.
It should be noted that the Pavilion end Club has been providing affordable entertainment to the people for the last 25 years which is used by more than 3 Million people annually. The Pavilion end Club currently employs more than twelve hundred people. The jobs of all these people are at stake.
